The Grand Majestic

The Grand Majestic, otherwise known as TGM, are an original Funk/pop band hailing from Brighton town. Formed in early 2008, they started their musical journey showcasing their funky sounds in many pubs and small venues around Brighton. As a band full of different characters and backgrounds they drew their musical inspiration from many different genres. They created a sound that melodically stands up to todays leading commercial artists yet keeps it foot firmly stuck in the grooves of the old funk/soul classics.

With their local following growing the band went on to play bigger and better venues spanning out to London and other nearby areas. These included the prestigious London venues The Troubadour, Sound and the 229 Club. Recently they were given the great pleasure of supporting Californian Funk legends Breakestra at Brighton's own Concorde 2.

The Grand Majestic are soon to record their first album and hope to gain further exposure and recognition in the music industry in 2010. They also have plans to hit the festival circuit this summer and to do a university tour later in year.
